The Opportunity
  
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Retail Leasing Executive who has a commercial mindset, to take charge of the leasing function for a large, established shopping centre on the Gold Coast.
  
This key senior role offers variety and influence. Treating the lively centre as your own, you’ll take a hands-on, commercially minded approach to every leasing decision. Reporting to the Centre Manager and Board, you’ll drive leasing strategy, tenant mix, and rental growth while ensuring the centre remains a vibrant hub for the local community.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Manage all leasing functions including new leases, renewals, pop-ups and lease administration
• Develop and execute annual leasing strategy to maximise occupancy and revenue
• Drive casual leasing and ancillary income with a focus on converting short term tenants to permanent occupancy
• Oversee financial forecasts, rental reviews, and board reporting
• Negotiate lease agreements, assignments, and market reviews
• Collaborate with Centre Management and Operations on tenancy design, planning, and capital works expenditure budgeting
• Analyse market research to identify future retail trends and opportunities

About You
  
You’re an accomplished retail leasing professional who thrives on responsibility and results. You’re commercially astute, relationship driven, and passionate about building thriving retail environments.
  
You’ll bring:

• Retail property experience in shopping centre leasing (sub-regional or regional preferred)
• Strong financial and analytical skills with a focus on return on investment
• Proven success in lease negotiation and strategic planning
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Confidence to support the Centre Manager in a 2IC capacity
