Interested in the job?

Are you a hands-on professional with a passion for keeping spaces running smoothly and safely? We’re seeking a proactive Facilities Coordinator to join a leading retail property group and ensure the operational excellence of one of Toowoomba’s busiest shopping centres.

About the Role

As the Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of maintenance, contractor management, and compliance across the centre. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with the Centre Manager and wider team to deliver a well-presented, safe, and efficient environment for retailers, customers, and the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating routine and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Managing contractors and suppliers to deliver works safely and to standard.
  • Supporting tenancy works, inspections, and retailer fit-outs.
  • Overseeing WHS compliance, risk registers, and emergency procedures.
  • Assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensuring presentation standards of the centre are consistently met.

About You

You’re a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a busy operational environment. With strong communication skills, you can build rapport with contractors, retailers, and stakeholders, while juggling competing priorities with ease.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in facilities, maintenance, or contract management (retail or commercial preferred).
  • Knowledge of building systems, plant, and equipment.
  • Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Confidence in managing WHS processes and risk compliance.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused attitude with great interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to manage occasional weekend or after-hours requirements.

Why Join?

  • Work with a supportive, collaborative team in a high-profile retail centre.
  • Opportunity to develop your skills in facilities and property management.
  • Be part of an organisation that values integrity, relationships, collaboration, and positivity.

If you’re ready to step into a pivotal role where you can make a visible impact every day, we’d love to hear from you.
