The Opportunity

As Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind the seamless day to day performance of the asset. You will lead all operational functions across hard and soft services, ensuring the centre runs safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

This is more than a maintenance focused role. You will be a key contributor to the centre’s strategic performance, working closely with the Centre Manager and broader team to enhance presentation, manage risk, deliver projects and create an outstanding retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all hard and soft services across the centre
• Oversee contractor management, inductions and performance
• Drive workplace health, safety and compliance standards
• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs
• Support OPEX and CAPEX budget planning and reporting
• Deliver small to medium projects from concept through to completion
• Assist with tenancy coordination and retailer engagement
• Provide operational leadership and support across the centre team

About You

You are a proactive and solutions focused Operations, Facilities or Maintenance Manager with experience in a shopping centre or similar commercial environment. You thrive in a fast-paced setting, enjoy taking ownership and bring a strong sense of pride to the assets you manage.

You will bring

• Demonstrated experience in facilities or operations management within retail or a similar asset class
• Strong knowledge of workplace health, safety, compliance and risk
• Financial literacy and confidence working with budgets and reporting
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
• The ability to prioritise, problem solve and manage multiple stakeholders
• A genuine passion for retail property and creating vibrant community spaces
