Our client is a well-capitalised private property group with a growing portfolio of retail assets across Queensland. Known for their entrepreneurial mindset, long-term investment approach and hands-on ownership structure, they are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to drive commercial performance and strategic outcomes across a key retail portfolio.
  
This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad leadership role where you’ll influence everything from asset strategy and financial performance through to capital works, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence.
  
The Opportunity
  
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of retail assets, leading teams, managing key stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic asset plans that maximise value and long-term performance.
  
Key responsibilities include:

• Driving asset income growth and overall portfolio performance
• Preparing and delivering budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure programs
• Leading centre operations, facilities, compliance and risk management
• Developing and implementing strategic asset plans
• Managing retailer, contractor and stakeholder relationships
• Supporting leasing outcomes and portfolio occupancy initiatives
• Delivering customer-focused operational improvements
• Mentoring and developing high-performing centre teams

About You
  
To be successful, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience managing retail property assets, preferably within shopping centres.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting and performance reporting
• Proven leadership capability and experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Sound understanding of facilities management, compliance and operational risk
• A commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused approach
