About the Role
  
We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of a single shopping centre in South-East Melbourne, working directly for the landlord.
  
This role involves working closely with the broader property management team to handle day-to-day retail property management and admin tasks. You’ll be the go-to person for property, facilities, and accounts-related queries, helping to keep everything running smoothly.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, forecasts, CAPEX, and financial reporting
• Oversee lease renewals, tenant billing, rental arrears, and debt recovery
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and WHS compliance
• Support leasing and business planning, identifying cost-saving and value-add opportunities
• Maintain effective records, charges, billings, bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable using MRI Software
• Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and local stakeholders
• Conduct regular inspections and address operational risks, whilst maintaining high presentation standards

Skills and experience required for this role

• 3–5 years of experience in shopping centre management
• Experience with MRI Software is highly regarded
• Strong financial acumen and sound knowledge of retail legislation
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic
