About the Role:

Working directly for McConaghy Properties, this Senior Centre Manager role offers the opportunity to take full accountability for Castletown, a landmark shopping centre with 37,544m² of GLA and a long-standing presence in the Townsville community.

As the Senior Centre Manager, you will lead the day-to-day performance of the centre, overseeing operations, people, finances, retailer relationships and asset presentation to ensure the centre operates efficiently, safely and in line with strategic objectives.

Based in Townsville, you will lead the onsite team and work closely with retailers, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders, bringing a proactive and commercial approach that enhances centre performance and delivers an exceptional customer and retailer experience.

Key Duties:

  • Overall management of centre operations, performance and compliance with the business plan
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and monthly financial reporting
  • Lead, coach and manage centre staff to achieve high performance and service standards
  • Build strong retailer relationships, managing leases, arrears and issues effectively
  • Oversee maintenance, WHS and risk management ensuring legislative compliance
  • Drive casual leasing activity and identify new income opportunities
  • Plan and deliver effective marketing initiatives in collaboration with retailers
  • Represent the centre and build strong relationships within the local community

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing a retail shopping centre of a regional size centre or larger
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Sound knowledge of retail leases, tenant management and rental negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage teams
  • Solid understanding of WHS, risk management and contractor compliance
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with retailers, owners and service providers
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
