About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced retail property professional to step into a pivotal leadership role within a well established Townsville shopping centre.

In this role, you will take ownership of the centre’s overall performance, balancing operational excellence with commercial outcomes. From financial management through to retailer engagement and asset presentation, you will be instrumental in maintaining and elevating the centre’s position within the market.

Working closely with an established onsite team and a range of external stakeholders, you will bring a hands on and forward thinking approach to leadership, ensuring the centre continues to deliver for both retailers and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day operations and overall performance of the centre
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting and forecasting processes
  • Lead and develop the onsite team, fostering a high performing culture
  • Strengthen retailer relationships and manage tenancy matters effectively
  • Ensure compliance across maintenance, WHS and risk management
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance income and asset value
  • Support and deliver centre marketing and activation initiatives
  • Act as a key representative within the local business community

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience managing a retail shopping centre or large format retail asset
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Sound understanding of leasing, tenant management and retail operations
  • Proven leadership capability with a collaborative management style
  • Knowledge of WHS and compliance requirements within a retail environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Well developed communication and problem solving skills
