Take ownership of the day-to-day operational requirements of an established retail property in the Capricorn Coast region as Assistant Operations Manager.
  
This is a hands-on, operations role offering broad exposure across contractor management, compliance, maintenance, capital works, budgeting and stakeholder management. You’ll work closely with the wider Centre Management team while taking responsibility for ensuring the asset remains safe, compliant, well maintained and presented.
  
The Role
  
This is a varied role where you’ll be the go-to person for operational matters across the centre, working closely with retailers, contractors, service providers and the wider Centre Management team.
  
Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring works are completed safely and to standard
• Support WHS, risk, essential services and statutory compliance requirements across the asset
• Conduct regular centre, contractor, cleaning and tenancy inspections
• Manage day-to-day maintenance requirements, planned preventative maintenance and asset information
• Assist with operational and capital expenditure, purchase orders, budgeting and the delivery of capital works
• Build strong relationships with retailers and key stakeholders while responding to day-to-day operational matters

About You
  
They’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and hands-on, and confident taking ownership of operational matters within a retail property environment.
  
Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience within property operations, facilities, building services or a similar environment
• Exposure to contractor management, compliance and statutory requirements
• A good understanding of building operations and WHS
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Confidence communicating with retailers, contractors and other stakeholders
